The flag site exits because of the vision and dedication of prior Committees with the generosity of the citizens of Somerset County, PA.
The current Committee is committed to the long-term maintenance of the flag site,
which is dedicated to all Somerset County veterans and to the flag pole which is dedicated to the Flight 93 heroes
If successful, our work will never be finished.

This project is our primary project.  Begun in late 2010, the support has been encouraging.

Approved construction plans were donated by Somerset Planning and Engineering Services with an estimated construction cost is $35,000.

Our sincere thanks to everyone supporting this effort.

THE PATRIOT FLAG
In the 50 weeks following September 10, 2010, The Patriot Flag was raised in all 50 states and in over 200 cities. Her original home was on a 180 foot flag pole in Escondido, California.
The Somerset County Flag Committee was honored to have The Patriot Flag fly on our pole -
the ONLY site to provide a pole for her display during her extraordinary journey.
